Mr. Micaiah Orion Jeshua Adams Micaiah Orion Jeshua Adams was born on September 8, 2001 at the New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY to proud parents: Karen Nanton and Earlon Adams. Micaiah meaning who is like Yahweh was the apple of his parent’s eyes. Actually each name has special significance. Orion is the strong one and Jeshua also translated as Yeshua means Yahweh is my salvation. Micaiah or Kaikai as he is affectionately known; was an adventurous, curious, spontaneous child who loved life, his friends and his family. Micaiah and his mother relocated to Alabama when he was two years old to experience a slower paced, family oriented environment that New York could not offer. Settling in Huntsville, Micaiah enrolled in Montesano Elementary. He later transferred to Bessie Allen Preparatory School where he gained practical skills including incorporating the health lifestyle of the Adventist church, playing the hand bells and beginning to develop the character of a follower of Christ. One of Kaikai’s memorable experiences at Bessie Allen”s school was the red paddle called Discipline. Ms. Bessie used to say “I will paddle you with love.”

He later enrolled in Morris Elementary, where his personality developed and shined bright. Micaiah was the class clown; he loved to make people laugh. He then advanced to Morris Elementary and Middle School where he joined the junior league football team, winning trophies and awards. He also won the SWAG award. He took the prestige seriously as he enjoyed creating his own personal wardrobe, a talent he got from both his mother and maternal grandmother. Micaiah attended Huntsville High School then later transferred to Kathleen High School in Florida where he graduated with his high school diploma. After graduation, Micaiah joined his father in the family upholstery business learning a valuable trade. Micaiah learned the trade exceptionally well, making his father very proud. But his most important experience was his relationship with God. Micaiah was baptized into the New Life Seventh-day Adventist church on November 22, 2008 at the tender age of Seven.  He was an active Pathfinder and served as a junior usher.

Micaiah was an avid reader and had a special interest in self help books. One of his favorite books was “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”. He enjoyed playing video games, football, making jokes and spending time with family and friends. Micaiah’s greatest passion was sharing the parenting role to young Orion and Kyiir.

Micaiah is survived by his mother, Karen; his father, Earlon; bonus mom, Stephanie;  brothers: Josiah and Roy; sisters: NeAsha, Nandi and Abani; uncle, Kerris; aunts: Leah, Nelsa, Danita and Alyssa; cousins: Kerris, Jr., Kalicia, Karissa, Kayla, Seanna, Josiah and Jadon; paternal grandparents: Glen and Glenda; great aunt: Judith Alexander; great uncles: Frankie Smith, Carey Smith, Colly Smith, Winston Smith, Joseph Smith; great aunts: Yvonne and Winnie;  and a host of other relatives of Trinidad and Tobago.
