Austin Wayne "Buddy" WhiteAustin Wayne “Buddy” White of Minor Hill, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Lester, Alabama, on March 16, 1949, and was 77 years old.

Buddy was a loving father, and brother. He had a lifelong appreciation for the way things were designed and built, especially for vintage automobiles. As a child, Buddy was a model car enthusiast. His mechanical skills were fine-tuned on the drag racing strip in high school and his adult life. He loved his Harley motorcycle and University of Tennessee football. But, most importantly, Buddy will be remembered by his willingness to help others, especially the elderly. His unofficial “I need a Little Help Buddy” service was open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Buddy was always the life of family gatherings.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00am to 11:30am at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will take place at 12:00pm on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Maplewood Cemetery.

The family suggest memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital c/o 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Buddy was preceded in death by, his parents, Austin and Eleanor White.

Brother, Doug White of Pulaski, TN
Sisters, Peggy Adams of Pulaski, TN
Juell (Ned) Edmundson of Pulaski, TN
Jackie White Crownover of Columbia, TN
Lisa Ann White of Lewisburg, TN
Mother of Chris, Delores White of Minor Hill, TN
Several other family members also survive.
