Bennie Ray Beech passed from his Earthly walk on the afternoon of Saturday, August 22, 2020, surrounded by family and knowing he was loved by so many.

He was born in Lincoln County, TN on March 7, 1940 to Raymond and Sallie Lou Winsett Beech. He worked a variety of jobs as a young man; talking mostly of learning to become quite the pool shark while cooking famous slaw burgers. Later he worked route delivery for Foremost Ice Cream and Flowers/Merita Bread Company.

He enlisted in the army and spent time in Stuttgart, Germany. After returning home, he met the love of his life and married her on December 20, 1964. They moved to Huntsville in September, 1969. After they both retired, wherever you saw one, you would also see the other. He was loved and he loved fiercely. He was so very proud of his first great grand baby and made sure to show her picture to all he met.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Vallie Mae Towery, Ruth Beech; and Wilma Norman. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Robbie Hollins Beech; daughter, Jennifer Thomas (Steve); granddaughter, Stephanie Cravens (Tyler); great granddaughter, Raelyn Elizabeth; brother-in-law, James Hollins (Shirley); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, August 26 at 1 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warriors or Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8
