Amy Moore Christopher died Monday, June 26, 2023. Born October 8, 1964, Amy was the daughter of Marianne Carlisle Hill and the late Yancey Albert “Al” Moore, Jr.

Amy was the proprietor of AL Christopher Gifts in Huntsville’s 5 Points, which she opened over 20 years ago on Pratt Avenue and operated there until moving to Wellman Avenue. She assured beautifully wrapped gifts, offered unmatched customer service and attention to detail, and provided on the mark gift-giving recommendations whatever the occasion.

Amy was reared in Huntsville, Alabama, and graduated from Huntsville High School in 1983. She attended church with her family at First Presbyterian Church where she was baptized as an infant. Amy was always athletic and excelled in tennis and golf. Following high school, Amy continued her education at Converse College in Spartanburg, S.C., and thereafter at the University of Alabama.

In Huntsville, Amy was a member of the Junior League of Huntsville where she served in various capacities, including Co-Chairman of Apple Annie Day. She was a member of The Grace Club.

Amy is survived by her mother, Marianne Carlisle (Mrs. James B., Jr) Hill; her brother Yancey Albert “Bert” Moore, III, and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Beason Moore; nieces Vivian Hightower Moore, and Jane Beason Moore; and a community of dear friends including her diverse base of customers, and fellow small business owners.

A graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 11 a.m., officiated by The Reverend Sarah Watts. All are invited to the home of Elizabeth and Bert Moore, 218 Longwood Dr. SE where the family will receive following the service. Those concerned with the heat, or walking safely on the cemetery grounds, are welcomed to the Moore home at 11 a.m., in lieu of attending the service.

Amy had a soft spot for children and animals and would have recommended support for The Greater Huntsville Humane Society, and The Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama.
