Larry “Tommy” Gowers, Jr. passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind cherished memories with those who knew him best. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, and a source of strength and care for his family. Tommy’s kindness, dedication, and love for his family and friends will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya Gowers; his daughter, Isabella Gowers; his sister, Candace (Keith) Bennett; his brother, Aaron Gower; his stepmother, Gail Gower; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Paulette Frazier, and his father, Larry Thomas Gower, Sr.
A viewing will be held at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning immediately at 2:00 p.m. Services will be officiated by Bro. Ray Davis, and Bro. Corey Walker. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jack Bennett, Mason Boyd, Allen Gilliam, Daniel Owens, Kyle Metcalf, and Ben Davis.
Tommy will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend whose presence brought comfort, love, and joy to those around him. He will be deeply missed.
