Bobbie Ann WalkerBobbie Ann Walker, age 79, “Made it out of this world saved!“ on Wednesday, October 14th. Bobbie was born on September 3rd, 1947 to the late Johnnie Virginia Childers and Evart Estice Morgan. Bobbie was married to the late Shelby Leon Walker for 48 years before his passing.

She was the mother of two children: Radford Oden and Christina Walker and she would many times refer to her son-in-law, John Alan Edwards, as one of her children. One of Bobbie’s greatest treasures on this earth was being Nana to her three grandchildren: Madilyn Grace Edwards, Jonathan Lane Edwards, and William Shelby Edwards. She took every opportunity she could to let her grandchildren know how much she loved them.

However, Bobbie’s kindness and compassion did not end with her family. Throughout her life, she was a help to many people, especially the members of the Church of God in Morgan City. No matter what someone needed, she was always willing and ready to carry a burden for them and do what she could to make their life easier. Bobbie often expressed her greatest desire was to make it to Heaven. According to the fruit of her life, she has finally achieved her goal!

Bobbie enjoyed spending many hours writing poetry about her love and appreciation for God and His church. Her poetry will be cherished by many. In the rare times Bobbie wasn’t busy helping other people, she could be found gardening. She loved to tend to and cultivate her flowers, creating a beautiful garden each summer.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Leon Walker, brothers David and Jimmy Morgan, sisters Linda Morrison, Elizabeth Taymon and Becky Reliford.
