Carlos Trent Garrison was born February 26, 1946 and passed away August 20, 2025. He was born to Herbert Montgomery Garrison and Mattie Lou Miller Montgomery in Marshall County AL.
Family was everything to him from an early age. He lost his father at the age of 6 and felt like he needed to be able to take care of his mother. As the youngest of 8 most had married and moved off and had families of their own. As soon as he was able he join the Army and volunteered to go to Vietnam for war pay. That way his mom would have more money sent to her. Up on returning from the military he went to Calhoun Community College for Barbering on Military funding. Once he got his license he went to work for Craig’s Barber Shop. One day they ask him to come to Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ. That is where he meet his wife of 51 years Charlotte. As a young man with a wife and 2 young awesome kids, he worked as a barber, also at Burleson Pools for health insurance and was still in the National Guard to supply income and security to them in there later years. As a young boy he was baptized at a tent revival by a Baptist preacher. But later was re-baptized at Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ where he found his true faith in God. Even in his last minutes with us at the hospital and rehab he was working on spreading the gospel and trying to convert all his nurses and aids to church of Christ.
