Desiree Helen Harris, age 71, passed away on July 31st, 2026, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Born on June 10th, 1955, in Flint, Michigan, Desiree was the daughter of the late Frank Ancic and Margaret Hudson. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many through her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family.
Desiree was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved husband of 45 years, Daniel Harris Sr..
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Danita Beedy; her son, Daniel Harris Jr. (Kelly), and Emily Perry; her sister, Dedra Grossman; her brother, Leonard Myers (Sherry); nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Desiree’s greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will continue to be cherished for generations to come. Her loving spirit, gentle heart, and dedication to those she loved will never be forgotten.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their prayers, support, and expressions of sympathy during this difficult time.
