Mark Geoffrey Rusk McManus Mark Geoffrey Rusk McManus, 75, of Pulaski, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 2nd at his home.
He was born on June 7, 1951 in Westerville, Ohio.
He devoted his career to academic librarianship, serving Berry College in Rome, GA, Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA, and later the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA. Outside of work, he was an avid reader, loved music, and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He gave generously of his time volunteering with the United States Pony Club and local therapeutic riding programs. In retirement, he returned to a lifelong love of cooking, even moonlighting as a prep chef in local restaurants. He also found deep fulfillment in caring for the land, spending countless hours working the soil and tending his property — a labor of love he kept up right until the end.

Mark is survived by Rebecca Agee McManus, his loving wife of 49 years; daughter, Mary Frances Rusk McManus (Austin); siblings, Robert Lowe McManus (Eva), Kathleen Jo McManus, Priscilla Baker, and Patrick McManus (Andrea); brother-in-law, Louis Hill; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Smith McManus; father, Hugh Duncan McManus; sister, Cynthia McManus Hill; and brother, Michael Hugh McManus.

A service will be held on TBD at the Church of the Messiah in Pulaski, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the library of your choice.
