Edward E. Poore, 72 of Dora, passed away Aug. 7, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in the chapel of New Horizon. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time. He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Mary Campbell Poore, son DeWayne Lockhart, sister Trillie Rebecca Corneil, brothers Leonard O’Neal Poore, Curtis O’Neal Poore and granddaughter Alana Lockhart. Edward is survived by his wife of 46 years, Wanda Thomas Poore, daughter Felicia Lockhart (Gary, Jr.) Posten, grandchildren Richard DeJay Freil, Alexanderia Sky Lockhart (Mike) Katic, sisters Diana Davis, Anna M. (Richard) Mericle, brothers Carlton Poore, Carl (Mary) Poore, along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
In his younger days, he loved to fish, ski, and go boat riding. He loved riding his motorcycle with his wife, Wanda, and their friends. He loved the mountains. He was very knowledgeable and could fix/do just about anything. He will truly be missed by his wife, his family, and his friends.
