Best Buy in Florence to close at end of February

FLORENCE-The Best Buy store in Florence located on Cox Creek Parkway will close at the end of February according to sources.

Customer shopping patterns and the overall strength of the retail market along with other factors played a part in the closing of the Florence location.

We do not take these decisions lightly, but have made the decision to not renew the lease of the store therefore it will be closing,” said Best Buy Spokesperson Danielle Schumann.

Best Buy in Florence has 60 workers both permanent and part-time. Employees may apply for positions at other Best Buy locations according to management.

The Best Buy in Florence opened their doors in June of 2001.  The closest Best Buy store to Florence will be the Huntsville location.
