FLORENCE-On October 9, 2026, Florence Police Department detectives received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the uploading of child pornography at a residence on the 1800 block of Shade Avenue in Florence, AL
Terry Cromwell
. Due to the cyber tip, on October 12, 2026, FPD detectives served a search warrant on the residence and collected several cell phones and pieces of computer equipment. Child pornography was located on the evidence that was collected, which resulted in an arrest warrant for Terry Cromwell, 46, of Florence, Alabama.
Cromwell was taken into custody for 130 counts of Possession of Obscene Matter Containing Visual Depiction of Persons Under 17 Years of Age Involved in Obscene Acts on October 22, 2026.
At the time of this news release, Terry Cromwell is confined at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $75,000 bond.
Terry Cromwell is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
