TVA Hosts Community Science Event This Friday & Saturday

TENNESSE VALLEY-TVA and the Alabama Cooperative Extension are hosting a Great Southeast Pollinator Census event in north Alabama as part of a multi-state effort to raise awareness about the importance of pollinators. The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a community science project that’s designed for everyone to participate and make a difference for pollinator conservation

Visitors will learn about the pollinators on TVA sites and collect data on the insects they see. Folks can stop by for 20-30 minutes or stay longer if they’d like. Representatives from TVA’s Environmental Resource Stewardship Team will be there to guide the data collection process and answer any questions.
