Annette Ruth Provencio Ponds. Age 74, of Savannah, Tennessee passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026. She was born on September 9, 1951
Annette was a devoted Christian whose faith was the foundation of her life. She was a true prayer warrior who never hesitated to pray for anyone in need. She boldly shared her love for Jesus Christ, enjoyed praising God, and faithfully worshiped at Spirit and Truth Church in Adamsville, Tennessee. She especially loved playing the tambourine during church services and encouraging others through her testimony.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Annette married her husband Buster Ponds, in 2011, and together they shared many cherished years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Jeannette Provencio; her beloved son Alex Gonzales; her precious grandson, Jaylen Porter; and her brother Valentino Provencio.
She is survived by her husband Buster Ponds; her devoted daughter, Gina Gonzales; her cherished grandchildren, Ashley Matlock, Zariah Gonzales, Hailey Gonzales; and Reed Gonzales and her brothers T-Bone Provencio, Joe Provencio, and Richard Provencio; her sister, Lorraine Vinson; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Annette dedicated her life to being a homemaker, caring for her family with unconditional love. She found great joy in cooking delicious meals for her family and often prepared food for others simply because she cared. She loved tending to her plants, crocheting beautiful handmade gifts, and opening her home and heart to those around her. Her generosity, compassion, and warm sense of humor brought comfort and laughter to everyone who knew her.
Annette’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, selfless love, kindness, and service. She leaves behind countless lives that were touched by her prayers, encouragement, and steadfast belief in God’s goodness. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her family finds peace in knowing she is now rejoicing in the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ.
Her family asks that she be remembered not only for the life she lived, but for the faith she shared so freely and the love she gave so generously to everyone she met.
Funeral Service will be held Friday July 10, 2026 at 2:00 pm with Robert Howse officiating. Visitation with the family will begin Friday at 11:00 am till 2:00 pm all at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation chapel in Savannah, TN.
Burial will follow in the Hardin County Memorial Gardens.
