Parents were John Alexander, Jr. and Meda, he grew up with two brothers, older brother Jerry and baby brother Mike.  Growing up they lived on a farm so they started working on it at a very young age.  This instilled a strong work ethic in Terry.  He was a worker.  He worked along side his dad learning carpentry skills, his favorite profession.  After graduating from Walker High School, he attended Walker College earning his degree as an electrician.  He served a couple of years in the National Guard.  He worked as carpenter before dedicating 30 years to Drummond Coal Company.

He married Brenda Faye Alexander in June 1969.  They shared 47 years together.  They raised two children, Amy Rigsby (Chad) and Brad Alexander (CaSondra).  Terry had four grandchildren, Adison and Savana Alexander, Owen and Roman Rigsby, who he loved dearly.

Terry was incredibly passionate about his family, restoring antique cars, trading, farming and helping a friend in need.  He enjoyed his friends visiting him at his shop.  He was definitely someone you could count on.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife Brenda and their infant daughter Jennifer, parents John Alexander, Jr. and Meda and brother Jerry Alexander.

He is survived by his children Amy Rigsby (Chad) and Brad Alexander (CaSondra), brother Mike Alexander (Kathy), sisters-in-law Charlotte Alexander and Judy Swindle, brother-in-law Wayne Best (Judy), grandchildren Adison and Savana Alexander, Owen and Roman Rigsby.

Pallbearers will be Gary Kilgore, Terry Frazier, Johnny Meadows, Barry Jackson, Homer McClinton and Arnold Trimm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation in his memory to your local church or favorite organization.
