Perry Clifford Lindberg went into the arms of Jesus on December 31, 2025, at the age of 90, surrounded by family at his home in Harvest, AL. Perry was born to Alexander Lindberg and Margaret MacInnes on November 22, 1935, in Holyoke, MA. At 17 years old, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he began his 22-year career as a Private and retired as an officer at the rank of Major. He served in the Vietnam War as a Guided Missile Systems Officer. After his career in the military, Perry went on to a 25-year career as an Optical Engineer at General Dynamics and Teledyne Brown Engineering working on many advanced missile system projects to include the Patriot Missile System.
Perry gave his life to the Lord at a Billy Graham crusade in 1976 and began a lifelong mission to teach the word of God for Precept Ministries and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. He felt a calling to teach Bible studies every week for 8 years at Limestone Correctional Facility as well as teach the Bible in seminaries in Ukraine and Russia. He subsequently brought over many Christian Ukrainians and their families and supported them as they began their new lives in America and later became American citizens.
Perry is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Jan Phillips Lindberg, as well as his sister Susan (Loyd) Shipman, children James Lindberg, Jennifer (Kevin) Settle, Andrew Lindberg, David Lindberg, grandchildren Caleb George, Becca (Troy) Mickens, Eden Drenning, Anders Lindberg, Sydney Lindberg, Michael Lindberg, great grandchildren Ivy Mickens and Ezra Mickens. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Andrew Lindberg and Alexander Lindberg, sisters Marilyn Coughlin and Karen Miller, and son Perry Lindberg, Jr.
A visitation will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, AL on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 PM followed by burial at Huntsville Memory Gardens with full military honors.
