Donald Duncan age 78 of Albertville passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Shepherds Cove Hospice in Albertville surrounded by his family. Mr. Duncan was a loving husband and father with a great devotion to his church, Pleasant Hill 2 Missionary Baptist Church.
His Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Rev. Chris Reaves will be officiating along with Rev. Lynn Buchanan and Honorary Rev. Joey Grant. He will be laid to rest at Memory Hill Cemetery in Albertville. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Barnard, Wyatt Barnard, Eric Hardin, Grayson Grant, Keith Mardis and Will Hallman. Visitation for immediate family members will begin at 4:00 p.m. Saturday evening with Family and Friends starting at 5:00 until 7:00.
Mr. Duncan Is survived by his wife; Ruth Duncan and son Donald Ray Duncan, his sisters Shirley Grant (Joey) and Nancy Hardin, his brother Dewayne Dobbins (Cindy), his Nephews Mitchel Grant, Eric Hardin, Kenneth Duncan and Nicholas Barnard, his niece Regina Duncan his great Nieces Jaden Grant, Erica Tuffs and Sarah Barnard his great nephews Greyson Grant, Wyatt Barnard and Justin Frank.
He is preceded in death by his father Underwood “Toots” Duncan, mother, Mary Helen Duncan, step mother Katie Duncan and brother, Loyd Duncan.
