Luther “Wayne” Baskins age 65 of Florence passed away on Thursday October 23, 2014. Visitation will be October 25, Saturday morning at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence from 9:00 am till 11:00 am. Services will be at 11:00am in Elkins Chapel with Robert Huffaker officiating. Burial will be at Vandiver Hollow Church cemetery.
Mr. Baskins is preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Hinton and his sister, Pam Hinton.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Baskins. Two children; Amy Atherton (Tony) and Angie Wilson Holm (BJ). Five grandchildren; Lyndsey Borden (Craig), Leslie Ivey, Tiffany Jones (Chase), Brooke Phillips (Josh) and Laken Wilson (Skyler). Six Great-Grandchildren; Abby Eddy, Carsen Borden, Lucas Eddy, Reagan Jones, Jaxon Thigpen and Riley Jones. Sister, Elizabeth Kay Warble (Brad). Brother, Jerry Hinton. His beloved Dixie, and numerous family and friends.

Mr. Baskins was of the Baptist faith and served in the United States Air Force and the Navy Reserves. .
