Jimmy David Honeycutt passed away suddenly at home on November 3, 2025.  He had a larger than life personality and lived a full and happy life which included serving in the Army from 1968 to 1970 as a truck driver in Germany, working twenty years for Kaiser Aluminum in Tulsa, Oklahoma, going back to school at the age of 38 and graduating with his Airframe and Powerplant license. He then worked for Boeing building the B2 bomber along with working for other aerospace companies around the U.S. as a contract aircraft inspector.  In addition, he had a long and award-winning real estate sales career both in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kent, Washington.  He loved the Lord and we look forward to being re-united with him in Heaven.

While no formal funeral service will be held, the family will gather privately to remember and honor Jimmy David in a way that reflects our love and honors his wishes.  Pastor David Kelley has been asked to say a few words. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL assisted the family.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Joye; his daughter, Theresa Ozbirn (Jason); his granddaughters, Hayley George, Brandy Honeycutt-Cano (Billy) and Neriah Darracott; grandson, Jordan Honeycutt (Megan) and great-grandson, Asher Honeycutt.   He had a large family and is also survived by his brothers, Orville Honeycutt, Lawrence Honeycutt, Kenneth Honeycutt (Sue), Delores Honeycutt, Doris Honeycutt, Cathy Hatfield and Marilyn Honeycutt-McGee; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and his in-laws, Carol Moon, Ed Moon (Debby) and Mike Moon (Angela).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kirby and Lettie Honeycutt; his son, Gary Honeycutt; his sisters, Berniece and Alleane and his brothers, Truman, Pete, Don Earl, Herman, Dewey and Doyle Honeycutt.
