LIMESTONE COUNTY-On January 14, 2025, the Limestone County Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Athens Police Department – Alabama Narcotics Unit and Madison County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, conducted a successful operation in the West Limestone community, resulting in significant arrests and the seizure of illegal narcotics.
Narcotics units initiated a traffic stop on a small two-door vehicle during the operation. The occupants were later identified as Roderick Tyrone Massey and Gary Lorenzo Hill II, both residents of Huntsville, AL. Deputy Levi Williams deployed his K-9 partner, Hoss, who quickly alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. Following the alert, both individuals were searched, and a small quantity of Fentanyl and Marijuana was discovered. Both suspects were placed under arrest and transported to the Limestone County Jail.
Upon arrival at the jail, Correctional Officers Corporal Kyle Swart and Adrian Davis conducted a full-body search of Roderick Tyrone Massey, who had exhibited suspicious behavior. During the search, officers uncovered an additional 10.02 ounces of Methamphetamine concealed on Massey’s person.
Gary Lorenzo Hill II, 33, was charged with Drug Trafficking – Methamphetamine. Hill, who was on parole at the time of the arrest, was released on bond the following day after posting a $500,000 bond.
Roderick Tyrone Massey, 32, faces multiple charges, including Drug Trafficking – Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Distribute – Fentanyl, and Promoting Prison Contraband – Drugs. Massey remains in custody at the Limestone County Jail on a $500,000 bond. He was also on parole at the time of his arrest.
