107 Years And Counting …. Spring Park’s Labor Day Celebration Continues On

TUSCUMBIA-The Shoals Area Labor Day Festival took place yesterday, September 7, 2026, at Tuscumbia Spring Park. Known as the oldest labor union celebration in Alabama with its 107th Annual event.  There were nearly a thousand folks in the park to celebrated Labor day and all it stands for.

Keeping with the festival’s deep political roots—notably where Jimmy Carter kicked off his 1976 campaign—this year’s event featured speeches from several political candidates, including Democratic gubernatorial nominee Doug Jones as well as many others running for state offices.

The Quad Cities Daily was on hand and enjoyed the fellowship and speeches while capturing the event in photos.  We present them to you here:
