Carmine T. McNatt age 102, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Signature Nursing Home where she had been a patient since January 2012. She was a long time resident of Westover Drive.
She loved, being surrounded by her family members. Enjoyed cooking meals, especially during the holidays. And she loved to travel. She went to Corning, New York to visit with her sister, and to Brandon, Florida to visit with her other sister. Every year she would look forward, to spending time in the Smoky Mountains. She said she felt closer to Heaven, every time she was there.
Born April 3, 1913, in Bedford County, married W.B. McNatt, moved to Columbia, TN and they farmed on the Zion property. Now where the school is located. Every chance she got; she loved to ride around, and go by and see where him and her lived, and also where her parents farmed at.
Became a member of Highland Baptist Church and always enjoyed the preaching and singing. Said it always helped her through hard times and the week. She also enjoyed going on day trips with church members to gather strawberries or sit down and see a play from the theater in Nashville. She was the oldest member of Highland Park Baptist Church and member of Sunshine Class.
