BIRMINGHAM – ASAN is excited to invite you to the 2021 Virtual Food & Farm Forum, Thursday December 2nd through Sunday December 12th! Sponsored, in part, by Southern SARE, EBSCO, Birmingham Mountain Radio, and the Alabama Association of RC&D Councils, this eleven-day selection of skillshares and network-wide “campfire” sessions is ASAN’s largest program of the year, focused on connecting Alabama food growers, eaters and institutions to inspire, skill-build, and strengthen collective knowledge about Alabama’s diverse food system!
The virtual sessions, led by people who have been honing their skills and knowledge for years, will cover topics such as shipping meat, how to successfully farm fruit trees, farm record keeping, mushroom production, the impact of regulations on small farms, a virtual screening of “Gather”, advanced produce and livestock roundtables and so much more!
The campfire sessions — marking the beginning and end of the 11-day series — will together shed light on the impact of Climate Change and ways we can organize to be stronger together.
All sessions will be presented through Zoom.
Registration for the virtual Forum is on a sliding scale, so it is accessible to all! All the tickets get you the same thing: access to all the Virtual Forum events. Higher priced tickets are a form of supporting ASAN’s accessibility efforts — think of it like “bringing a friend” you haven’t met yet!
