AAMA’s Smart Technology Showcase Features Tech and Auto Companies from Alabama’s Automotive Sector

HUNTSVILLE — Industry leaders from across Alabama’s automotive sector will convene at
the Smart Technology for Smarter Manufacturing Summit to explore how advanced technologies are transforming
today’s production environments. Hosted by the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA), the
event will take place at the Jackson Center in Huntsville on Wednesday, April 29, starting at 8:00 a.m. CT.
Registration is open to AAMA members at $125 and non-members at $150.

“We’re excited to welcome OEMs, suppliers and technology providers for a full day of insights, live
demonstrations and interactive exhibits focused on new, practical and fast solutions,” said Ron Davis, AAMA
president. “The summit reflects the strength and forward momentum of Alabama’s automotive industry.”
Attendees will gain firsthand exposure to innovations in artificial intelligence, automation, IoT and predictive
analytics that are driving improvements in efficiency, quality and operational performance. The summit is
designed to move beyond theory and highlight real-world applications that manufacturers can implement to
remain competitive in an increasingly complex and fast-paced industry.

“The presenters will showcase practical, shop-floor-ready solutions that demonstrate how advanced system technologies are helping manufacturers improve quality, reliability and efficiency while sustaining high-throughput operations. Their shared insights and real-world applications highlight the value of collaboration and  innovation across OEMs and suppliers,” said Michael Gaines, Jr., Division Leader/Director, Manufacturing Planning
& Control, Alabama Auto Plant, Honda Development & Manufacturing of America.

Through expert-led sessions and peer collaboration, the event will provide a platform for knowledge-sharing and
innovation across Alabama’s automotive ecosystem. The summit features eight live technology demonstrations covering innovations reshaping the shop floor, including robotics, AI, IoT-enabled supply chain tracking, error-proofing, machine vision, workforce intelligence and collaborative automation.

Participating companies include HD Hyundai Robotics, Surgere, UnitX, FANUC, KEYENCE, Two Ladders, ADAMS
CORP and BEET AI/Coffee Tree Group. The summit is part of AAMA’s broader commitment to advance innovation,
strengthen partnerships and support long-term industry growth across the state.
