A devoted wife and mother, she spent most of her years with Ezell living in the same Mountain Springs community, where she grew up. She was a lifetime member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church. It was her greatest joy to care for her grandchildren and spoil her great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful homemaker and fantastic cook and everyone loved her delicious cakes. Thanksgiving at her house was always a special occasion.
Visitation will be Friday, March 6, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee, Alabama. The service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Jerry Crowden Officiating.
Our family thanks Alabama Hospice of the Shoals and special thanks to Kandace and Angela for their loving care of our Mother. Great granddaughter Maleah was a devoted and loving caregiver and we praise her for her patience, kindness and strength.
Words cannot express the loss we feel but we are confident and comforted knowing she is healed and at peace in her eternal home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed to Mountain Springs Cemetery Fund 545 Mt. Mills Road Tuscumbia, AL 35674.
