Richard "Rick" Williams Richard “Rick” Green Williams Jr., age 65 of Norris City, Illinois passed away at 9:35 PM on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Deaconess Gateway surrounded by his family.
Rick was born on August 7, 1960 in Pulaski, Tennessee to the late Richard Green and Helen Abagail (Lovett) Willliams Sr. On December 13, 1997 he married Phyllis Seacrist and she survives in Norris City. He first worked for Mid-South Business Furniture for 31 years. Rick then worked as an Assistant Manager for Kroger in Hendersonville, Tennessee and then as an Assistant Manager at GFS in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He most recently worked for Costco as a Hearing Aid Apprentice. Rick was a member of New Life Christian Center in Equality. He loved Indian Motorcycles and football, especially the Tennessee Vols and Tennessee Titans. Rick loved the Lord deeply. He was the Youth Pastor at Assembly of God in Portland for four years. Rick also helped with the youth group at New Life Christian Center in Equality. He was a very encouraging person and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Rick is survived by his wife, Phyllis Williams of Norris City, Illinois; sister, Sandra Hughes and husband, Bobby of Pulaski, Tennessee; sister, Gail Horner and husband, Randy of Heathrow, Florida; nieces and nephews, Karen Rietkerk and husband, Alfred of Pulaski, Tennessee; Bob Hughes of Pulaski, Tennessee; Stephanie Dickson and husband, Shane of St. Augustine, Florida; Derek Horner and wife, Kimberly of Oviedo, Florida; six great nieces and nephews, Alfred Rietkerk “Alfie” of Pulaski, Tennessee; Serenie Rietkerk of Boca Raton, Florida; and Sadie, Audrey, Oliver and Evelyn Horner of Oviedo, Florida.

Visitation for Richard “Rick” Green Williams Jr. will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
An additional visitation will be held on Friday, March 6 , 2026 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, on Friday, March 6, 2026 in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home in Pulaski.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Life Christian Center Building Fund and will be received at the funeral homes.

Stricklin Funeral Home and Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements for Richard “Rick” Green Williams Jr.
