Linda Clay McDaniel, age 82, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at NHC Lewisburg.
She was born January 28, 1943, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Thomas and Bessie Upchurch Clay. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt Billie Purdom.
She is survived by her husband of 60+ years Glenn McDaniel; two daughters Shelia (Richard) Medley of Lewisburg and Cynthia Styner of Fort Benning, GA; two grandchildren, Aaron and Lauren Medley.
She was known for her vibrant enthusiasm for life, expressed through a variety of cherished hobbies and interests. Whether she was sitting at her crafting table, surrounded by colorful materials, or leafing through the latest issue of her favorite magazine, she found joy in the simple pleasures of creativity and discovery. Her love of reading extended to cookbooks, where she found endless culinary adventures. Attending auctions was another passion that brought excitement to her life. Auctions were a social event for her, a place to connect with others who shared her appreciation for unique finds and history. Her zest for life and her diverse interests left a lasting impression on everyone she met, making her memory a source of joy and inspiration.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church St., Lewisburg, TN, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with cremation to follow.
