Bill Henson Photo William “Bill” Henson, age 78, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, was born January 8, 1947, and passed away on August 25, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 28, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Greg Pace and Dylan Chandler officiating. Interment will be in Henson Cemetery, Colbert Heights.

Bill proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. After his service, he dedicated over 30 years to JK Johnson before retiring, though his strong work ethic and love for his craft kept him welding until his final days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Louise Henson.

Bill is survived by his loving sister, Susan Chandler (A.W. “Skillet”); nephew, Eric Chandler (Amanda); great-nephews, Austin (Kati), Dylan (Morgan), Braden and Colton; great-great-nephew, Ripp; and great-great-nieces, Charlee and Kylin.

Pallbearers will be Colton Chandler, Dylan Chandler, Braden McCaig, Austin McCaig, Jeff Henson, Seth Henson and honorary Pallbearer Edward Riner, Tony Holland and Ripp McCaig.

Bill will be remembered for his dedication, his hardworking spirit, and the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
