Barry M. Mefford devoted family man, skilled mechanic, and dedicated member of his community, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 79.
Barry was known for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to those around him. He cared deeply for his family and took pride in supporting his neighbors and friends. A talented mechanic by trade and a farmer at heart, Barry found great joy in working the land and fixing anything with an engine. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him-his family, his friends, and the many lives he touched with his kindness and reliability.
He was preceded in death by wife, Donna K. Mefford and parents, W.M. & Margret E. Mefford.
Surviving are daughter, Tina Mefford (Lowell) Maples, son, Marty (Joyce) Mefford, son, Chris (Ronda) Mefford, daughter, Andrea Mefford, step daughters, Stephanie Smith and Wendy Smith Haupt, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, brother, Gerry Mefford, and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Monday at 2:00 pm with Bro. Harold Kelly and Rev. Gary Paseur officiating.
Interment will be in Mefford Cemetery.
