Marvis Binkley James “Marvis” Binkley, age 86 of Joelton, Tennessee passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at AHAVA Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 am, Tuesday, July 15th, at Good Springs Cemetery in Pleasant View with Pastor Mike Hollis officiating.

Burial will follow the graveside service with the deacons at Good Springs serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Tuesday, July 15th from 10:00-11:00AM, and then proceed to the cemetery for the graveside service at 11:30AM.

Mr. Binkley was born on June 12, 1939 in Robertson County, Tennessee to the late James & Odessa Oliver Binkley. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Vietnam war and retired from the trucking industry with Kroger for over 35 years. While driving, he accumulated over 2 1/2 million miles without an accident. He loved NASCAR racing .and was a former deacon and treasurer and longtime member of Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wayne Binkley and sisters, Reba Dean Binkley and Carolyn Orange.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Binkley; brother, Larry Joe (Debra) Binkley; sisters, Brenda Jacobs and Kay (Steve) Head; loving sister-in-law, Sue Spurlock; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Binkley’s memory to Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church, 2330 Good Springs Rd, Pleasant View, Tn 37146.
