Ann W. Jackson, age 82, of Union Grove, Alabama passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Jackson was born April 8, 1940 to Victor and Grace Winston in Huntsville, AL. She was married to Jesse O. Jackson, Jr. She was a 1958 graduate of Huntsville High School. She was employed prior to her retirement at SCI in Huntsville and later in Arab.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of Oleander Methodist Church where at one time she was a Sunday School teacher. She loved to sing and took great joy in singing acapella songs that she wrote herself as well as hymns she had loved since childhood. She loved calling people on their birthday and singing a special birthday song to them.
She is survived by her husband Jesse, two daughters, Lois O’Dell (Brian) and Lisa Sloan, five grand-children and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Winston and a son, Larry Daugette.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Gary McRae officiating. There will be visitation with friends and family prior to the service from 12:00 – 2:00 pm.
