Mr. Houston Price, Sr, age 93, of Arab, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Marshall Medical Center North on March 14, 2023. Mr. Price was born on February 10, 1930 to Charles William Price and Clara Ellen Jenkins Price in Gate City, Virginia. Houston had been a resident of the Scant City community for over 40 years. He was married to Stacy Ann Price who preceded him in death. Houston worked in construction as a carpenter. In his younger years he was an avid bowler. He also developed an interest in farming his 5 acres of land and feeding the fish in the pond. He enjoyed horses and loved traveling and visiting new places.
Mr. Price was preceded in death by his wife, Stacy Price; parents, Charles and Clara Price; son, Gilbert Houston Price, Jr.; step-sons, William Guard and Delton Guard.
Mr. Price is survived by his two daughters, Charlotte Mason and Nancy Snead; his three grandchildren, Michelle Rodriquez, Melissa Thomas and William Mitchell; ten great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and nephew, Bill King.
A graveside service for Mr. Price will be held at Brookwood Cemetery on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Norm Hewitt will officiate. No formal visitation is planned.
