On February 10,2023, our sweet Janice Lynn Walker Burton peacefully passed away to join her beautiful children, Deatra (Dee) Diane Walker and son James Patrick Walker. Janice was born to Robert and Lavon Weidman on December 26,1945 in California.
Those who knew Janice understood that her life was devoted to Dee and Little Jim, or JP as he got older. Both with special needs, she helped them daily to live their lives as fully as possible. On December 1st, Janice lost the glue that kept it all together, her daughter Dee. After losing JP in 2007, then her wonderful husband Richard Burton in 2016, Dee became her whole life. The pain of losing Dee was more than Janice’s heart could manage.
Janice is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, David Walker; daughter Dee; son JP; husband Richard Burton; brother Bobby Weidman; her parents; half-brother Dylan Walker; father-in-law EO Walker; stepfather-in-law Dick Womack; brother-in-law Scott Walker; sister-in-law Patt Walker Myers and a beloved nephew, Tabor Walker Myers.
She leaves behind her mother-in-law Maedelle Walker Womack; half-sister and half-brother Morgan Walker and Michael Walker; nephews Kevin and Chris Weidman; Burton family; sisters-in-law Faye Weidman and Debbie Walker Bevill; Debbie’s three daughters: Misty, Kristy, and April and their families; and Treavor Myers and family. She also left behind Dee’s love Sam and special friends Annette Prestidge and her children Justin and Heather; Heather’s children Zoey and Abby. Janice loved all of them with open arms and the children just like her own.

Graveside service will be held Sunday, February 18th at 1:00 PM in Huntsville Memory Gardens. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
