
Fredrick Livingston
FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect on Thef charges resulting from the theft of a vehicle also charges have been levied against this suspect for Financial Exploitation of an Elderly Person 2nd degree:
“On August 8, 2022, officers responded to a theft of property call at Magnolia Gardens. The complainant reported that she had just purchased the vehicle a few days prior and that the car was missing from the parking lot. The complainant stated she was visiting neighbors in the building and when she returned to her apartment she noticed her keys and a phone were missing. She then exited the building to find her vehicle missing as well. Later that night an officer observed a vehicle, matching the description given, driving across O’Neal Bridge into Florence. The officer pulled the vehicle over on Court Street. The vehicle was occupied by three subjects. The driver was identified as Fredrick Livingston. Detectives responded, and Livingston was arrested for Theft of Property 1st degree and Burglary 3rd degree.
On January 10, 2022, Fredrick Livingston purchased a vehicle from a local business and he never made a payment. Livingston claimed the starter was bad and that he wasn’t going to pay or bring the vehicle back to the seller. The seller filed a police report and after an investigation, Theft of Property 1st degree warrants were issued for his arrest.
In February, Livingston talked an elderly female into giving him her debit card and PIN number. He told her that he needed this information to help her return car parts, but he then used the card six times to withdraw $580 from her account. After an investigation was conducted, warrants were issued for six counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, Theft of Property 3rd, and Financial Exploitation of an Elderly Person 2nd degree.
All warrants were served on Fredrick Livingston and he is being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $52,500.00 bond.
