Two People Die After Two-Vehicle Accident In Muscle Shoals

MUSCLE SHOALS-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident involving a moped has taken the lives of two people in Colbert County:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, has claimed the lives of two people.

The operator, David H. Hinds, 51, and the passenger, McKala D. Hinds, 55, both of Killen, were fatally injured when the moped that they were on was struck by a 2022 GMC Sierra driven by James C. Burbank, 33, of Florence. After the initial impact, David H. Hinds and Mckala D. Hinds, were both thrown from the moped and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 20 near Pruitt Drive, approximately four miles east of Muscle Shoals, in Colbert County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
