Rex I. Garrison passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday after his battle with cancer. Rex made anyone around him feel cared for like family. He leaves behind a wife; two daughters; two sons-in-law; three grandchildren; mother; brother; sister; as well as brothers/sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; cousins; and many friends. He reminded us all to not take a moment for granted, “don’t panic,” and to courageously face the scary parts of life and to find trust in that beautiful process. We are reminded of gratitude, family, love, celebration, laughter, ritual and traditions. “Roll Tide”

Visitation will be from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service in the chapel. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
