FLORENCE-October, 2017 Alabama Renaissance Faire Lecture Series:
Sunday, October 1, at 2 pm, in the colonnade of the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library Dr. Jeffrey Bibbee of the University of North Alabama will present a program on the Protestant Reformation in England.
Sunday, October 8, at 2 pm, in the colonnade of the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library Dr. Lisa Kirch of the University of North Alabama will give a presentation on Art in the Lutheran Reformation
Sunday, October 15, at 2 pm, in the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library colonnade Alabama Renaissance Faire board member and FLPL’s local historian Lee Freeman will do an author talk/book signing on his book Medievalspeake: A Medieval Worde Boke assisted by members of the AL-Ren-Faire in medieval garb, accompanied by period music and a demonstration of medieval arms and armor.
These lectures are free to the public and are sponsored by the Alabama Renaissance Faire, the University of North Alabama Dept. of History and Political Science, and the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library.
