Frances Sue Uptain – Obituary

Frances Sue Uptain, 86, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017, at Burns Nursing Home in Russellville. A native of Mount Hope, Alabama, she had lived in Russellville for the past 67 years and was a homemaker and member of Siloam Baptist Church.

Visitation for Mrs. Uptain will be Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Services will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Keith Prince officiating. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville.
Survivors of Mrs. Uptain include two sons: James Uptain, Akron, AL and Thomas Uptain and wife, Mary, of Russellville; daughters, Carolyn Pace and husband, Robert, and Shelia Plemons and husband, Steve, all of Russellville. She is also survived by a sister Betty Lovett of Moulton, AL and ten grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, plus other family including nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Uptain, and her parents, James and Cora Spruell.
The family of Mrs. Uptain would like to offer their heartfelt appreciation to the employees and staff of Burns Nursing Home for providing loving care of their mother and for making her a part of their family.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, will be directing.
