Funeral for Jimmie Douglas Oliver, 68, of Moulton will be Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Loosier Church of Christ with Jonathan Layman, Paul Czervionke and Dustin Robbins officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Loosier Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Oliver, who died Wednesday, September 16, 2015, was born January 12, 1947, in Lawrence County to William Thomas Oliver and Edna Magdalene Terry Oliver. He retired as a lab technician from Solutia. He was a member of Loosier Church of Christ and served as an elder for 28 years. He served in the Army Reserve. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ozella Heflin Oliver; his parents; three brothers, William Oliver, Lyndom Oliver and Jerald Oliver; and one sister, Ethyl Horton.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Czervionke and Paul of Hatton, Kim Robbins and Dustin of Decatur and Kasey Oliver of Hatton; five grandchildren, Jon Oliver Czervionke, Eli Drake Robbins, Emma Kate Czervionke, Kaylyn Thrasher and Natalie Golden; one brother, Harvey Oliver; four sisters, Linnie Ocille Johnson, Opal Flannigan and Billie Joe, Sybal Tidwell and Freddie and Mavis Monk and Larry; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Paul Czervionke, Dustin Robbins, Jon Oliver Czervionke, Wyatt Oliver, Barry Brackin, Patrick Tidwell and Dwight Vanderford.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Vanderford, Hillard Tidwell, John Czervionke, Eli Drake Robbins, Kenny Heflin, Jeff Heflin and Greer Terry.
