Tyrone Watkins, age 75, of Huntsville, Alabama, transitioned to his heavenly home on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital.
Born on May 8, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, Tyrone was the son of Floyd Watkins, Sr. and Florence Ford Watkins. He will be remembered for his love of family, his enduring spirit, and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Watkins, Sr., and his brother, Floyd Watkins, Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife, Valerie Watkins; his daughters, Selena Broadnax and Ureatha Watkins; six beloved grandchildren, Tatiana, Malik, Jamar, Quavious, Amyrion, and Aki; and ten treasured great-grandchildren, Sanaa Watkins, De’Marhiana Davis, Dash Davis, Shawn Davis, Samya Watkins, Malik Watkins, Jr., Ny’Aylah Brown, Tru Vaughn, Amyrah Brown, Loyal Vaughn, and Zaire Vaughn. He is also survived by his mother, Florence Watkins, and his siblings, Andre Watkins, Geraldine Jones, and Bruce Watkins.
Tyrone’s greatest joy was his family, and his legacy will continue through the generations who loved him dearly. His warmth, wisdom, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life service at a later date and time.
