Rosie Lorine Shackelford, 81, of Chattanooga, transitioned Friday, August 28, 2015 at Siskin West Hospital. She worked countless years as an LPN and was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Letha Ann Shackelford Sr.; sisters, Willie Mae, Maxie Ruth, Dolleann and Annie Lee; and brothers, Lawrence, James, Frank Jr., Robert and Carl.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law, Herbert and Patricia Shackelford Gray, Chattanooga, TN; goddaughter, Connie Gates of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Vera (Freddie) Abernathy, Emma Ruth (Willie) Jones, both of Decatur; brothers, Bobby (Annie) Shackelford, Town Creek, William (Helen) Shackelford, Chattanooga, TN; sisters-in-law, Betty Shackelford, Decatur; Elease Shackelford, Hillsboro; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Todd Lansden Sr. officiating. Burial to follow in Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery.
The body will lie in repose after noon today, the family will receive friends from 7 – 8 p.m. this evening at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404, 423-622-9995.
