James Henderson “Hip Man” Asher, 70, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014. Public viewing will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral will be noon Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Florence.
