Sara Nell Young age 79 of Athens, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Young was born May 6, 1935 in Winston County, AL to Major Clyde Counts and Elsie Leigh Counts.
Services will be Saturday, October 18, 2014 11:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Mike Davis officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 9:00 am. Until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Young was a member of Eastside Church of Christ, and a retired school teacher of 37 years at Ardmore High School.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Davis; brother, Perry Counts and her parents.
Survived by her husband, J. Dwight Young of Athens; two sons, Greg Young and wife, Whitney of Athens and Kevin Young of New Smyrna Beach, FL; one daughter, Christi McEver of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Jonathan Young and Hannah McEver; one brother, John Counts of FL; one sister-in-law, Barbara Posey and husband, Don of Haleyville, AL.
