Long investigation comes full circle… Brazelle named by alleged victim

FLORENCE – Fired last year under a cloud of sexual suspicion, Minister of Music for Sheffield’s First  United Methodist Church, Oliver Brazelle is facing charges of sexual abuse of a minor.

Brazelle was arrested this afternoon by agents of the Alabama Bureau of Investigation on charges of sexual abuse and sodomy of a minor. Apparently the alleged victim sought out the help of the ABI. The case had been stymied for over a year, because Brazelle’s accusers refused to publicly come forward to make formal charges, once the 79 year old man was fired.
