Howard Thomas "Butch" Eades Profile Photo Mr. Howard Thomas “Butch” Eades, age 84, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away, Saturday, August 15, 2026. Born in Lebanon, TN, he was the son to the late Howard and Virginia Eades.

Butch is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Freida (Johns) Eades; children, Robin (David) Gentry, Tom Paul (Cheryl) Eades, and Scott (Tonya) Eades; grandchildren, Adam (Celina) Anderson, Amy (Joey) Ruel, Hunter (Maddie) Eades, Bethany Eades and her partner Jonathon Powell, Kerry (Felicia) Gleason, Chad (Erin) Sullens, and Crystal (Michael) Treadway; great-grandchildren, Paxton Anderson, Elaina Ruel, Serenity Sloan and Charolotte Sullens, siblings, Eleanor (Ronald) Dowdy, Johnny Eades, Kathey (Delwin) Milligan, along with many nieces and nephews.

Butch was a devoted member of Walter Hill Church of Christ and spent the later years of his life working as a farmer. A true local legend of the 1970s and 1980s, Butch was known for his love of dirt track racing and his larger-than-life personality. He loved his family immensely. Butch was a good friend to many and always lived life to the fullest, on his terms and wide open.

Visitation with the family will be held at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM with Ralph Richardson officiating. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens following the service.
