Hugh Albert Sharp, 88 of Arab passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at his residence. He was born July 10, 1937 in Skyline, Alabama, the son of Gordon Sharp and Dovie Mae Towers Sharp. He was retired from his work as an electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union.
Hugh is survived by his children: Renee Carter, Terry Sharp (Laura), Cindy Sharp, Portia Scott and Jason Sharp (Dana); seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sister: Katherine Shook; brother: Coy Sharp; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Terry Sharp officiating. The burial will be in Gilliam Springs Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
