Mary Cordelia Lovell Kirby, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on November 4th, 2026. She was born on March 30th, 1946, to Oscar Wallace Lovell and Hazel Irene Vickers Lovell.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Van D. Kirby; her son, Shane Douglas Kirby; her daughter, Sandra Hawkins (Harry); her brothers, Huelet Lovell (Elizabeth) and Bobby Lovell (Naomi); her grandchildren, James Houston Kirby, Emilee Ashlyn Kirby, Holly Hargrove, and Jaron Roberts (Nicole); and her great-grandchildren, Anna Hargrove, James Hargrove, Kalie Roberts, and Ralynn Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Mickey Lovell; and her grandson, Clinton Kirby Roberts.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7th, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Donald Terry officiating, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Hargrove, Michael Romine, Josh Lovell, Bodie Hawkins, Cody Hargrove, and Houston Kirby.
The family will cherish the memories of Mary and the love she shared with those closest to her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
