Frances Louise CreelMrs. Frances Louise Creel, age 74, of the Summit community of Arab, Alabama, passed away early Friday morning, June 26, 2026, at Diversicare of Arab. She was born November 11, 1951, in Cullman, Alabama, one of ten children of Arbel Hooper and Maggie Delaine Thomas Hooper. She was a member of the 1970 graduating class of Arab High School. She and her husband, David “Dave” Wesley Creel, shared more than thirty-five years of marriage. Frances was of the Baptist faith and a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church. She was employed as a property manager by E.H. Properties in Fultondale.

Frances loved her family deeply and took great joy in helping others. She especially enjoyed hosting events, including weddings and gatherings, and will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and care she practiced.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Arbel and Maggie Hooper; brothers, Carl Hooper, Roger Hooper, Ralph Jr. Hooper, John Paul Hooper, and Gerald Hooper; and sisters, Gracie Jones and Jeanette Trusty.

She is survived by her husband, David “Dave” Creel; daughter and son-in-law, Jo and Craig Cole; grandchildren, Chase Cole (Savana) and Clay Cole; great-grandchild, Camp Cole; brothers, Robert Hooper and James Hooper; brothers-in-law, Steve Creel and Ronnie Jones; and sister-in-law, Londa Garrett (Chad).

Services for Frances will be held Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Family and friends will gather for visitation at 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Brother Brad Hadley will officiate. Pallbearers, who will escort Frances to her final resting place at New Home Cemetery in Holly Pond, will be Chase Cole, Clay Cole, Blake Helton, Colton Helton, Dakota Creel, and Jordan Creel. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
