Renee Hollingsworth Traffanstedt's obituary picture Renee Hollingsworth Traffanstedt, 55, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Piedmont, Alabama, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, just weeks after celebrating her 55th birthday.

Born on September 29, 1971, in Albany, Georgia, Renee spent much of her childhood in Weaver, Alabama. After meeting the love of her life, her late husband, Wayne Traffanstedt, she made her home in Piedmont, Alabama, where they built a life together filled with love, memories, and a bond that would last a lifetime.

Renee had a big heart, a strong personality, and a love for her family that could never be measured in words. She loved her daughter, Payton Grimes, more than words could ever express and was always proud to tell anyone who would listen about her.

Her grandson, Eli Grimes, was her pride and joy, and being his grandmother brought her immeasurable happiness. She was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of her second grandchild in March, a joy she made sure everyone knew about. Her love for her grandchildren was endless, and she looked forward to every moment of watching her family grow.

Above all else, Renee loved her husband, Wayne, dearly. Their love was one that death could not erase. Since his passing, she carried that love with her and longed for the day she would be reunited with him again. Though her family and friends are heartbroken by her passing, there is comfort in knowing that the reunion she had waited for so dearly has finally come.

Renee leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, unforgettable conversations, and memories that will be cherished for generations. Her family will forever hold close the sound of her voice, her unexpected calls and messages, her playful jokes, her honest opinions, and the countless ways she made sure the people she loved knew she was thinking of them.

Though her time here feels far too short, the love she gave will continue to live on through her daughter, her grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Until we meet again, Renee. May you rest peacefully in the arms of the husband you loved so dearly.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, no funeral services will be held.
