PeeWee Sherman, age 69, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Decatur, AL, and a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Lawrenceburg, TN. Mr. Sherman loved spending time with his grandkids. He also enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, watching his grandkids sporting events, and watching Alabama football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Dempsey and Ettie Mae Henson Sherman.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Carol Sherman of Lawrenceburg, TN; three sons, Dusty Sherman (Chasity) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Josh Sherman (Stephanie) of Dothan, AL, and Kyle Sherman (Michelle) of Leoma, TN; two brothers, Phillip “Bubba” Sherman (Priscilla) of Decatur, AL, and Joey “LoLo” Sherman (Rhonda) of Hartselle, AL; one sister, Nejebi Millwee (James) of Decatur, AL; fourteen grandchildren, Blaine Hutchens, Lilly Hutchens, Lleyton Sherman, Sawyer Sherman, Marcus Sherman, Lana Sherman, Boston Mackenzie, Emmalynn Sherman, Kylie Sherman, Alexius Lance, Abby Gafford, Maylee Sherman, Bentley Lance, and Bron Sherman; and one great-grandchild, Stella Hutchens.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday, June 12, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 5:00 PM Friday, June 12, 2026, with Mickey Brackin and Gaye Hardy officiating.
